1ère participation de Mark DONOHUE avec 1er podium et 1er points, pas mal non..... Pôle de Jackie STEWART et victoire mais meilleur tour pour Denny HULME. A noter que les 3 derniers de la grille furent repêcher par les non-départ de certains concurrents...Piste mouillée, STEWART eu du mal avec Ronnie PETERSON qui endommagea sa voiture contre un attardé.....
Abandon au 2ème tour de Tim SCHENKEN, allumage, au 3ème tour, Graham HILL, sortie de piste, réservoir percé, au 8ème tour, Clay REGAZZONI, sortie de piste aussi et début d'incendie, au 14ème tour, Skip BARBER, pression d'huile, au 16ème tour, Jean - Pierre BELTOISE, sortie de piste et au 27ème tour, Rolf STOMMELEN, moteur, surchauffe....
