Nouveau circuit........ Temps beau et chaud au départ puis des averses de pluies....Pôle d' Alberto ASCARI.....
Course : Au départ les 2 FERRARI de tête partent très bien suivi des 2 GORDINI de Robert MANZON et Jean BEHRA qui effectuera un tête-à-queue , direction faussée que l'on redressera a coups de masse..... Abandon de Piero CARINI au 2ème tour, moteur de Harry SCHELL au 7ème tour, boîte de vitesses, Johnny CLAES au 15ème tour, moteur et Louis ROSIER au 17ème tour, moteur... La pluie se met a tomber mais ASCARI reste imperturbable doublant tout le monde sauf le 2ème....Piero TARUFFI revient en 3ème place.... Abandon de Peter WHITEHEAD au 26ème tour, embrayage, de Emmanuel de GRAFFENRIED au 34ème tour, freins, reprise par SCHELL de Mike HAWTHORN au 51ème tour, allumage et de BIRA au 57ème, pont arrière....
Récapitulatif : 28 engagés dont 4 suppléants 3ème pilotes et 4 nouveaux : Eitel CANTONI non parti, Vittorio MARZOTTO 3ème pilote, Piero CARINI et Sergio SIGHINOLFI 3ème pilote, deux N° 12 mais Luigi VILLORESI ne courra pas, 2 N° 28, Eitel CANTONI ne courra pas et 2 N° 30 mais un forfait donc un seul Parti avec ce N°, 2 N° pour Rudi FISCHER, il conduira la N° 36 en course même N° pour le pilote suppléant, comme les N° 38 40 et 42 qui seront attribué aussi au pilote suppléant.... Dur dur ... 10 équipes dont 2 nouvelles : Scuderia MARZOTTO avec son créateur et AHW BRYDE nouveau nom pour l'écurie de HAWTHORN et 1 privé avec 10 voitures différentes, 20 qualifiés et 20 au départ..... Résultat : 1er ASCARI devant Guiseppe FARINA et TARUFFI, 3 FERRARI au 3 premières places.... 12 classés et 8 abandons, 4 forfaits, meilleur tour pour ASCARI qui fait un grand chelem.... N° des 5 premiers : ASCARI N° 8, FARINA N°10, TARUFFI N° 12, MANZON N°2 et TRINTIGNANT N°30.
