Accident aux essais de Robert MANZON avec la SQUALO, légèrement blessé il déclare forfait....José-Froilan GONZALEZ, Mike HAWTORN et Maurice TRINTIGNANT refusent de piloter la nouvelle SQUALO la 2ème sera confiée a Umberto MAGIOLI....Pôle pour GONZALEZ le vendredi car pluie le samedi.......
Course : Juan Manuel FANGIO part en tête devant GONZALEZ qui va être doublé d'abord par Stirling MOSS puis par HAWTHORN, beau duel entre les 2 pilotes Anglais, avant leurs abandons ........ dommage....
