MERCEDES c'est retiré....Que 2 marques représentées....Le matériel de LANCIA plus apport de FIAT tout ça pour FERRARI... Beaucoup de FERRARI différentes, des SQUALO, SQUALO a moteur LANCIA, D50, D50 modifiée....Après les changements d'équipes, Juan Manuel FANGIO chez FERRARI fit la pôle avec sa FERRARI-LANCIA.....
Course : Sous un ciel couvert...... José Froilan GONZALEZ part en tête après un petit duel avec Luigi MUSSO mais bien vite Carlos MENDITEGUY prend la tête, pendant ce temps FANGIO a des problèmes avec sa voiture, il s'arrête au 12ème tour puis définitivement au 23ème tour, pompe à essence... Mais Eraldo SCULATI Directeur Sportif fait arrêter MUSSO aux stands pour lui donner sa voiture , pendant ce temps GONZALEZ casse son moteur au 25me tour et Eugenio CASTELLOTTI sa boîte de vitesses au 41ème tour.... FANGIO en doublant Jean BEHRA part en tête-a -queue, BEHRA le redouble mais FANGIO revient très vite et reprend la tête pendant que MENDITEGUY sort de la piste au 43ème tour, demi arbre..... Collision entre Luigi PIOTTI et Peter COLLINS au 59ème tour et abandon de Stirling MOSS au 82ème tour, moteur....
